Reflexology

Reflexology is an ancient, therapeutic, non-invasive therapy. It has been practiced in many cultures throughout the world dating as far back as 2,500 B.C. It originated in ancient Egypt where medical practitioners would treat their patients through a focused pressure technique applied to their hands and feet. It deals with the principle that there are reflex areas in our feet, hands, and ears, which correspond to all of our glands, organs and parts of the body. It is a unique method of using thumbs and fingers on these reflex areas, which may highlight any areas of weakness, congestion or vulnerability that may give rise to future problems.

Reflexology has enormous physiological and psychological benefits of all the systems of the body. This touch therapy has the ability to actually activate the innate healing powers of the body! So it is a great complementary and alternative therapy that would benefit a wide range of people at any stage of life.

Your Initial Visit

The initial reflexology appointment helps the Practitioner to understand your health history, goals, and needs so she can individualize future sessions for you. After each session the Practitioner will explain the areas of congestion and may recommend any lifestyle, dietary, or supplementation to support the body. Each session is customized to clients needs at that given time. So clients have the freedom to personalize their own sessions. They can either feel free to relax, close their eyes and drift away, or it can be interactive with discussions on a variety of health topics. Regardless, you’ll love how your whole body will feel after just one session.

“People who are stressed are not use to GIVING themselves time out and RECEIVING. They are usually the ones giving all their energy away, whether it is at work or home life. Reflexology not only helps to manage stress but it encourages giving your self some quiet time and learning to receive. Implementing habits of self- care is key for emotional and physical well-being.”
