Jamie Lafferty, RMT

Jamie Lafferty has always been interested in the human body and decided to begin her career by graduating with a Massage Therapy Diploma from the Ontario College of Health and Technology, in April of 2015.  After writing her licensing exams, she became a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) in July of 2015.

Jamie has always been passionate about athletics, and this passion has allowed her the opportunity to partake in a variety of different sports; this experience provides a smooth transition into her practice as an RMT as she can relate to her patients and how they feel after participating in such activities.  Jamie is an excellent leader and has been captain and assistant-captain of several hockey teams.  She finished her last year of hockey playing in the Provincial Women's Hockey League, and soon transitioned to coaching.  Jamie was an assistant coach to the Stoney Creek Atom AA hockey team, utilizing her leadership skills to help children succeed into building character and playing the sport they love.

Jamie has used her sports history to learn massage techniques for all types of patients from elderly to athletes.  She uses different types of massage techniques ranging from deep tissue to relaxation, as she believes every patient needs a personalized patient is the same as another.  Jamie uses her excellent communication skills to learn about the cause of complaints that patients deal with, while educating her patients on  ways to prevent or eliminate these issues.
